Can I use a non-dairy alternative to milk?

Accepted Answer

Yes, absolutely. The chai can be made entirely vegan/ lactose free using non-dairy milk. We recommend a heavier variety like Oat or Cashew milk to have the same creamy texture. And add an extra splash if not using cows milk!

What kind of tea leaves are used in Cuppa Chai?

Accepted Answer

We use pure, high grade Assam tea. We actually combine two varieties, one being a longer leaf and one a shorter leaf to create our signature blend. This brings more strength to the tea as well avoiding that 'dusty' texture or cheaper teas.
 
Assam tea is a full bodied, robust black tea with a malty flavour. Perfect for breakfast or after a meal!

What is Masala Chai?

"Masala" means Spice, and Chai is "Tea!" A masala is usually a mix of freshly ground spices to give a distinct flavour profile.
 
Just be sure not to call it "Chai Tea".... or tea tea :-)

Yes! We'd love for you to watch us expand our range in the near future. We have plans for health related teas such as to aid digestion and boost your immune system, ginger tea, fennel tea and more!
 
And dare we say it... Chai Coffee?!
